A Landmark Project: 17.2MW Power for NNPC
When the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) sought a trusted partner for one of the nation’s most ambitious power projects, Mikano Power delivered with excellence.
Within a 649-square-meter footprint, Mikano engineered and installed four WÄRTSILÄ generators, each operating at a low speed of 750 rpm and designed for a 25-year lifespan. Fully synchronized, these units ensure continuous and reliable power generation.
Despite major logistical challenges — including transporting the massive generator units from Lagos to Abuja in just 10 days — Mikano’s engineering and project management teams executed the project safely, on schedule, and with zero incidents.
