Client Background
Eko Atlantic, known as the new economic capital of Africa, is a visionary real estate development built on 10 million square meters of reclaimed land in Lagos. Designed to be a modern city powered by cutting-edge technology and sustainable infrastructure, Eko Atlantic required a reliable, scalable, and future-proof power solution to meet the demands of its growing sectors and residents.
The Challenge
Eko Atlantic needed a robust and efficient power infrastructure capable of supplying 5 MW across its various operations while ensuring low noise levels, high reliability, and quick installation. The client also required a system with a long operational lifespan and minimal maintenance to support continuous development activities within the city.
The Solution
Mikano International Limited, a trusted leader in power generation solutions, designed and deployed a 6 MW power system using four MTU 12V4000L64FNER generators, each delivering 1.5 MW.
These generators were supplied in fully containerized, soundproof units, assembled by Mikano’s technical team, ensuring a faster setup and reduced operational noise. The design emphasized performance, longevity, and energy efficiency; key for a project of Eko Atlantic’s scale.
