FAQ
Mikano Steel Fabrication division is one of the largest and most advanced steel fabrication operations in West Africa. The factory is equipped with high-precision, hi-tech machinery and employs over 500 dedicated staff — comprising engineers and designers — to deliver fabricated steel products that meet exacting dimensional and quality standards.
Mikano works with a range of steel specifications including mild steel (ASTM-A36), high-strength structural steel , galvanised steel, and stainless steel — selected based on the structural loads, environmental exposure, corrosion resistance requirements, and aesthetic finish specified for each project.
Yes. The Steel Fabrication division produces soundproof canopies for all Mikano-assembled generator sets — YORC, MTU and Perkins for diesel and gas engine— using precision machinery and oven-baked finishing to meet both acoustic and durability requirements.
Lead times depend on project complexity, fabrication volume, and specification. Standard generator canopies for Mikano's own generating set range are produced on defined production schedules. For custom or large structural projects, the engineering team provides a project-specific timeline at quotation stage.
Yes. Mikano provides logistics and on-site installation services where required, with teams managing safe delivery, positioning and fixing in accordance with approved structural drawings.
Quality control is applied at every production stage: raw material inspection, in-process dimensional checks, weld quality assessment, surface preparation review, and final inspection before dispatch. All products are produced to client specifications and applicable industry standards.
